- Legal Hotline Starting HSBA, YLD, Legal Aid, and MCBA are partnering to offer legal hotlines to our community. The flyer is attached. HSBA is coordinating the volunteer sign up and sending out volunteer calls for the hotlines. There will be information manuals for volunteers and eventually more in depth trainings. There will also be a need for legal information booth staffing. - Immigrant Aid Hub for Maui Fire Victims: Roots Reborn Lahaina serves as a multilingual hub for impacted immigrants, connecting them to whatever aid and resources they qualify for during the long rebuilding process. They are Maui-based community organizers and immigration attorneys mobilizing volunteers to distribution hubs in West Maui and beyond to help immigrants apply for SNAP, unemployment, FEMA, and other aid. https://www.rootsreborn.org/
